Sitting here early in the morning with a cup of Joe is always my quiet time. I look back on this week and I have to say I am quite happy with what I have accomplished. Here are a couple of new things I made. These are the newest burp cloths, changing pad and loveys/security blanket. What you think?

I remember driving home from work when I saw these smoking clouds. I did not pay much attention since I was in a hurry to get home. Four days later I went to a graduation party where I was introduced to a young lady. She told me she just had lost everything in a fire. I found out she was a coworker of my oldest son. I put 2 and 2 together and asked her if she had an apartment on top of the hill. She nodded. These are the pictures she took of the destruction     I asked if there was anything I could do. She said that her son had lost everything and that he loves SUPERHEROS.         This was my gift to her a 66 x 66 inch Captain America, so her son could smile again   There is a gofundme page if you like to help her financially. I have been playing around with left overs and this is what I came up with

    American Flag Mini Rag Quilt   I saw this on a quilt site and fell in love with it. Had some fabric left over and made it. It already found a new home.        

As I celebrated my son's graduation this weekend, many thoughts went through my mind prior and while celebrating.  I had to make sure that my wounded warrior (my husband), felt safe going there. You are asking why? Let me tell you part of his story. The headline could be: Life after the military, the battle goes on. The last deployment changed my husband, not just physically but mentally. Life has been completely changed for us and my husband needs constant care. He can't work anymore, which makes life very challenging for us. Arrival at the airport meant stress for my husband, which can set off seizures. We got there and I talked to the airline, they made sure he could board first, could find the seat he needed to keep his stress level as low as possible. Even security worked with us and got us through as fast as possible. They thanked him for his service. One plane even announced that they had service members on board and there was a round of applause for them. He was vali...
