Oh boy oh boy, yesterday was summer break begin for the children here in Hessen...the state where my sister lives. Tradition in the family here is...Mc Donalds as a treat...my mom and I decided...not for us...I prefer real food..so we eat at home the rest went to Mc D'S. Mom and I wanted to do something special for them since their grades are beyond great...so we invited them to the Italian Ice Cream  Place...talking about excitement...they were nearly falling of the chairs at the place... It took me the longest to eat my tiramisu cup with Amaretto Liquor. I took a picture of the icecream glasses which I will post later when I get back home. Today, well we are driving to Wiesbaden to see my older sister, can you say hello shopping...yesterday i got my hair done, today my mom is spoiling me and my sisters to a shopping day with dinner in whatever restaurant we want. The last time us for have done that was 6 years ago when we went to the Musical the Lion King in Hamburg Germany ...

In the last couple of days I have talked alot with my sister and mom, loving the fact that we do not have to hurry because we are on the phone and I have also learned a lot. We had it about...who's first... in a family...my answer was my children...my sister  said....wrong. You are first...always you...what happens in an airplane when the air masks fall down...you put yours on first ...and the child second... True, if we as parents do not put us first, things have a tendency to fall apart, parents start argueing...with kids and themselves and the quality of life goes down the drain.. I have not realized how much I needed a break until I got here and for the first time in years...I was just responible for me, I have gained so much strength and have relaxed. Smiling seems to be natural right now. Do I worry about my husband, yes, because I know for a fact he does not put himself first. He has worked beyond hard, and never takes a break. He has health issuse, we know he needs t...

Honestly to all women out there, do you like to go shopping when your head looks like a mop? Well I don't, but as a treat my dear two sister's Renate and Dorothea decided that I should spend 4 hours in the Salon...and become an attractive older woman again....gosh I feel so great right now and saturday my mom, sisters and I are going shopping and out for dinner...is this great? Today was the last day of school for my niece and two nephews so I will take them to italian gelato...(ice cream place) and spoil them. On the not so great note, watched TV last night and found out that our US government now decides to keep all addresses on any letters just in case...so much for privacy and the freedom we all like to talk about...and the NSA  decided to bug all european friendship states for espionage...really dear government ...you think you need to bug all of your friends...and then when it comes out everybody is so upset? But then what did we expect...they do what they want anyth...

There is no place like home, right? Yes and no.....My vacation started with lets say a rainy day in NY city...flight canceled. So instead of getting upset I went home spent time with my family and left the next day. At JFK I spent 8 hours thinking to myself ...really airport don't you can enough chairs so people can sit....but things that are worth waiting for are things like my vacation right? Singapore airline.. you were wonderful, so polite and caring...but the Chinese guy sitting next to me decided to take half of my chair while sleeping...I politely stepped on his foot when I exited the plane...lol just to get even...because I didn't  want to disturb his peaceful slumber. Then I had to wait for a long time to get my luggage. Then customs and the door opened to Frankfurt Germany. I saw my mom for the first time in 5 years. Are you asking if tears flew freely. As all of you know making money is of upmost importance if you have a husband that has been unemployed for a while. Finally two weeks ago he found a job, he is making not much but better then nothing. Now we can get caught up with our bills. And I am very thankful for that. Here are some new things I have made. All in my etsy store and this weekend outside in Theresa for you to buy since it is Memorial Day Weekend.

Have you ever asked yourself, why is it that this country goes down the hill? Well, it doesn't matter if it is this country or someone else's country, we all live in a recession. This is global. I have learned that I do not live alone! The world has to act together, but we prefer to hurt each other! Can JoeBlow change the world? No, he or she can't but they can start it at home. 1. Make sure your family knows they are not alone in this world. It is not just all about them. 2. Teach them compassion and empathy for the next person 3. Quit putting labels on other, get to know them you might be surprised! Remember if you put a lable on them, they might have you categorized also. 4. Learn to give without expecting a thank you or something in return. My grandfather always said: If you give, give freely and smile, because you were able too.
